LEBENSMITTEL ZEITUNG: Goldener Zuckerhut

Goldener Zuckerhut

The "Goldener Zuckerhut" is Lebensmittel Zeitung's most prestigious industry event. It takes place annually in November in Berlin.

The industry award was founded in 1958 by Lebensmittel Zeitung, Deutscher Fachverlag GmbH, Frankfurt am Main. The annual award to companies and personalities in the food industry is decided by a jury, whose statutes state: "The Goldener Zuckerhut of the Lebensmittel Zeitung can be awarded once a year to up to seven companies and personalities who have rendered outstanding services to the German or European consumer goods industry. The award is for an entrepreneurial or personal achievement that is of great influence with a lasting effect on the overall development of this sector of the economy."

The award is presented at the annual event held in November. This traditionally consists of three parts: The get-together on Thursday evening, the congress on Friday morning and the festive Gala in the evening. Invitations are sent out personally.
